About Pipa
Pipa is a former fishing village on the Atlantic coast 80 km south of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. Its cliffs are pink at sunset, dolphins live in Praia dos Golfinhos year-round (one of the few places on Earth where wild dolphins approach swimmers daily), and the main street stays open until 4am with capirinhas. International backpackers, French and Spanish surfers, and Brazilian college students keep the place loud through summer. Off-season Pipa is calm enough for digital nomads and long-term yoga retreats.

Safety
Pipa is generally safe but more crowded means more pickpockets. Watch your phone on the main street at night. Don't leave belongings on the beach unattended.
Language
Portuguese. English very common (international tourism). French, Spanish, German all spoken in tourist businesses.
Money
Cards widely accepted. ATMs in town. Cash useful for street food and buggy rides.
Internet
Most pousadas have fiber (50–150 Mbps). Coworking spaces exist (Pipa Coworking, Tipi).
Downsides (honest)
Main street is loud until 4am in high season
Beaches get crowded Dec–Jan
Some beach access requires climbing cliffs/stairs
Heavy partying culture — not for everyone
Perfect for
Backpackers, surfers, 25–40 social travelers, yoga seekers, digital nomads (off-season). Less ideal for older families seeking quiet.
Property owners in Pipa
Own property in Pipa? Dália manages with the dual-audience expertise: party crowd Dec–Feb, yoga/nomad/family crowd off-season. Two pricing strategies, one operation.
